Mild Salsa
A fresh and flavorful salsa that's perfect for dipping or as a topping. This mild version is great for those who prefer a little less heat.

Ingredients & Supplies
- 6 roma tomatoes
- 1 white onion
- 2 jalapeno peppers
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 6-8 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Juice from 2 limes
Instructions
- Slice the tops of the jalapeno peppers off.
- Cut the onion in half, then cut each half in half again (creating quarters).
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil on medium heat. Add in the tomatoes, onion, jalapenos, and garlic. Cook for about 15 minutes, turning halfway through. (Let the ingredients get a nice char, but not burnt.)
- Remove from heat. Transfer to food processor. Add entire bunch of cilantro and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to marry.
Tips & Notes
For more spice, add additional jalapeno peppers or serrano peppers.
Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
